George Christou is Professor of European Politics and Security at the University of Warwick, UK. He has published widely on European Politics and Security and he is the Editor for Palgrave’s New Security Challenges Series. His most recent books include: Global Networks and European Actors: Navigating and Managing Complexity (Routledge, 2021 edited with Jacob Hasselbalch); Global Standard Setting in Internet Governance, (Oxford University Press, 2020 with Alison Harcourt and Seamus Simpson) The European Union and Cybersecurity: Adaptation and Resilience in Governance Policy (Palgrave Macmillan, 2016). His latest articles include: ‘Speaking Sovereignty: The EU in the Cyber Domain’ (2022, European Security with Andre Barrinha); ‘Bridging the Gap between Cyber War and Cyber Peace’ (2021, International Affairs with Joe Burton); ‘Interest Group Lobbying in the EU: Privacy, data protection and the right to be forgotten’ (2020, Comparative European Politics with Imir Rashid). He is also engaged in the following EU projects: CYDIPLO – European Cyber Diplomacy, a Jean Monnet Network co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union (Sept 2020 – Aug 2023); GEM DIAMOND – Democratic Institutions, the rise of Alternative Models and mounting Normative Dissensus, MARIE SKŁODOWSKA-CURIE ACTIONS, Doctoral Networks (DN) (Oct 2022- Sept 2026).
