The Working Paper, edited by Cristina Fasone and Marta Simoncini (Luiss University) discusses the instruments and the procedures of the EU democratic decision making by looking at the role of representative institutions, citizens and civil society organisations during and beyond the polycrisis. The Paper provides an analysis of the interplay between targeted democratic instruments and procedures, and the political and institutional dissensus surrounding them before, during and after the COVID pandemic.
