Impact and communication strategy deescalating dissensus and innovating democratic practices

Work package 7 will articulate RED-SPINEL’s communication, exploitation and dissemination efforts within one integrated ‘sustainable impact strategy’. In response to the project’s third objective to contribute to strengthening democratic institutions in Europe.

Targeted audience

Key audience will be reached including:

  1. the interdisciplinary scientific community involved in EU and Democracy Studies;
  2. EU and national policymakers involved in the development, implementation and assessment of EU democracy and rule of law instruments;
  3. civic leaders active in defence of liberal democracy and the rule of law, including politicians, NGOs, think tanks, journalists, researchers, and teachers;
  4. legal professionals across the EU engaged in litigation efforts rooted in questions relating to fundamental rights, rule of law or citizen participation;
  5. European youths at high school and University levels seeking to engage critically with the ongoing debates surrounding the future of liberal democracy in Europe;
  6. the wider community of engaged European citizens.

Besides these six priority audiences that have been targeted to achieve sustainable/longer term forms of impact, RED-SPINEL will, as part of WP7, also continuously communicate about its activities throughout its lifespan via a range of online and in person communication tools.
