Since January 2024, Louise Fromont is a post-doctoral researcher at HEC Paris working on Workpackage 5 (EU economic governance instruments and the Rule of Law) of the RED-SPINEL project. She’s also a F.R.S.-FNRS post-doctoral researcher since October 2021 at the Perelman Centre of Legal Philosophy and the Centre for European Law of the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and an an affiliated member of the ULB Institute for European Studies.
Before joining HEC Paris, Louise was a post-doctoral researcher at the “Equality Law Clinic” and the “Refugee Law Clinic” of the Faculty of Law and Criminology of the ULB. She holds a PhD in Law from the ULB (“The consequences of the sovereign debt crisis on the EU Rule of Law”) as well as a MA in European Law (2015, IES) and MA in International and Public Law (2014, ULB).
Her research activities relate mainly to Economic and Monetary Union, fundamental rights, European values, European litigation and EU constitutional law.
Besides, Louise teaches or has taught several courses in the area of European Law (EU external relations, fundamental rights, European public law, etc.) at several institutions (ULB, Université catholique de Lille, HEC Paris, etc.).
