The report, compiled by Milieu Law and Policy Consulting, analyses the existence and the use of the Rule of Law instruments to face threats to democratic principles at the national level in a context of growing dissensus over liberal democracy and its core values in the European Union.  It provides information on the instruments provided by national laws, judicial interventions, and recent trends on the implementation of the Rule of Law in Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, Hungary and Spain, respectively.
